1.3 is the shipping release of Ngũ Linh Thần Toán. This post records everything the app contains — each item matches a real screenshot on the app page.
Casting by date and hour
Pick a date on a calendar that shows the solar and lunar dates side by side, then choose one of the 12 earthly-branch hours: Tý, Sửu, Dần, Mão, Thìn, Tị, Ngọ, Mùi, Thân, Dậu, Tuất, Hợi.
The app returns the primary and changed hexagrams, marks the moving line in red, and shows the full Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch for the month, day and hour. Below that it names the ruling star and the palace it occupies — for example Thiên Bồng in Thân.
Hoán Thời Pháp (the time-swap method)
This is the most involved calculation in the app, and the clearest advantage over working from printed tables. It derives a chain of hexagrams through successive time swaps; each swap shows the new hour stem-branch, the new star and the matching pair of hexagrams.
Per-star readings
For every star the app gives its elemental nature, home palace and star type. A description section covers the star’s origin and meaning. Two readings are kept separate — Sinh Vượng (thriving) and Suy Tuyệt (declining) — so you can weigh them against the matter you are asking about.
Direct Can Chi input
If you already know the terminology, enter the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches for year, month, day and hour directly, and cast for any moment you like — independent of today’s calendar date.
The whole month at once
An expandable month calendar with an hour-by-hour hexagram list for the selected day. Each hour block names the hour stem-branch, the star and its palace — useful when choosing a date for a wedding, an opening or a journey.
The 64 hexagrams
The complete set, numbered in traditional order, each with its six-line figure and the names of its upper and lower trigrams. Search by hexagram name or number. The detail page has two tabs, Giản Luận (brief reading) and Bản Nghĩa (classical text), covering the hexagram figure, Cách, Tượng and Nghĩa.
Interface
Light and dark themes, a type-size control from 12 to 24 that applies across the app, and an introduction to the Ngũ Linh method you can read inside the app.
What does not change
Every calculation runs on the device: no account, no ads, no data collection, no network needed.
The app handles the calculation. Interpreting the result still takes your own Yijing knowledge.
